Dear Dave, You wouldn't recognize the place anymore. People wear masks and the hard of hearing and deaf cannot lip read because of them. The partially sighted struggle with their usual routes outdoors as tables and chairs have been put on the pavement and get in their way. And the government is trialling e-scooters and thinks they are a good thing, yet children and old people are being killed by them in accidents often on the pavement, and the deaf, partially sighted, or women with osteoporosis afraid to fall must live in dread of being knocked over by an e-scooter. People buy their food online now but you, a partially sighted person, could not have done that, nor placed a food order by phone as you were profoundly deaf. And in the shops, if you had managed to get to them as you couldn't see the bus coming, the staff wear masks and you would not have understood and been confused. I miss you so much, but you are in a better place. At least when I think if you, I can stand up for the hearing and vision impaired. Love you always.
